Sounds like you made a great sandwich... and probably nowhere near 1000 calories ;).. I'm thinking probably close to 500-650.
The whole wheat bread is good for carbs, protein and B vitamins. The whole part is excellent, because it will allow your body to absorb the sugar on a "softer" curve than would white bread.. meaning no carb crash later. This has to do with how inuslin reacts in your body.
PB - always an excellent option for protein and healthy fats! The natural part means you didn't have lots of added sugar, and unhealthy fats and salt.
Granola.. would have added a nice crunch, and good for the same reasons as both the PB and whole wheat bread. A great way to add energy! I would only watch if it's a really "commercial" brand, there can be a TON of added fats. For a recovery vehicle, this is fine, but you still want to eat within a healthy framework. So, the portion you ate was about perfect :D but wouldn't overdo it much more than that.
Vanilla yogurt- yummy source of calcium, vitamin D, and, depending on the yogurt, would have some probiotics. Great smooth taste too!
Banana.. full of natural sugars, and vitamins, especially potassium.
Sounds like a GREAT sandwich.. you should be proud of yourself for putting together something so healthy! Wash it down with some soy milk or regular milk for a little extra calcium, and it's about a perfect midday snack.. fruits, whole grains, a meat alternative (PB).. great job!

Sounds nicely fattening and nicely healthy to me. It's a plus that you're enjoying it, since your aim is to gain weight.

lol I know it's tempting to jam a whole bunch of calories into one meal but it's okay to space it out. If it didnt' make you feel sick go for it, but you can definately do smaller items too. It's alot for your body to take in at once to hit it with that many calories out of nowhere. Sounds fairly healthy though as you got the whole wheat in there and the yogurt.

I'm recovering from Anorexia also so if you ever want to talk about anything, you can send me a message. That sounds weird but I don't know many girls with it. It's difficult going through recovery without someone who understands it the same way you do. Anyway, your sandwich was definitely not over a thousand calories.
Whole wheat bread - approximately 100 cals a slice, so 200 cals.
Natural Pb - 80 cals a teaspoon, so 160 cals.
Granola - 100 cals.
Yogurt - 50 cals.
Banana - 100 cals.
That's approximately around 610 calories, more or less. It's probably between 600-700 calories.
Everything in the sandwich is very healthy though.
You have to see how many calories you are eating a day. You should be eating anywhere from 1800-2500 calories.
