pregnacare wont harm you if you arent pregnant yet and will help your body get used to it before you are pregnant. pregnacare has folic acid in it but if you still want to eat vegetables that contain folic acid its best to eat them raw as cooking can take the nutrients out but as long as you dont overcook them you can still eat them cooked.

you can but avoid one with vitamin A as it can be harmful during pregancy. best to stick with the folic acid supplement and eat plenty of frest fruit and veg – ok to cook them

It’s great to start taking a prenatal multivitamin before conception! It helps your body build up nutrient stores for the pregnancy. I’m sure you’re ok to start taking it without talking to the doctor, here in Canada doctors have next to nothing to do with prenatals, other than to ask if you’re on one.
It’s ok to cook the veggies, but use as little water in cooking them as possible, as water leeches the nutrients.

I got pregnacare from the hospital, ask to get it on prescription, it’s pretty expensive to buy, but yeah it’s fine to take!
Oops just read the rest of your question, Just get normal Folic Acid just now and switch to pregnacare when your actually pregnant!

If you are trying to get pregnant, it is best to start taking prenatals now. As for vegetables, you will get more nutrients if they are raw.
