I raise & show Collies. I used to buy Pet Tabs – but now I just buy the generic Walmart brand. They have the exact same ingredients. Just check the expiration date as vitamins lose their effectiveness with age.

We use Pet Tabs in our house because we have large breed dogs. If you notice hip or join problems (stiffness), you may want to try a joint supplement like Cosequin DS. We use both in our house because of the breed but also because our 80lb Lab has mild hip dysplasia.

I use Pro-Pet Senior Daily Vitamins and also Joint Care for my senior (12 yr old mixed female-border collie/GS)
She gets one pill of each mixed in with her meals (they are chewable but she don’t like to eat them plain , she is picky)
Here in the U.S I can buy them at Wal-Mart

I like Nupro for my senior dog. It has a good amount of glucosamine, immune boosting ingredients, and stuff.
Sorry, it’s hard for me to describe. But it is great for my 8 year old lab mix.
Dunno if it’s available in Europe or how it equates cost wise to pounds. But it’s worth what I pay here in the states.

Try Glucosamine. This is what my vet recommended for my ageing Pointer when his joints started to get a bit stiff, and his kidneys etc became a bit sluggish. Pop along to your nearest Holland and Barrett store….they often have great offers on, and you can make some good savings. Pick up some cod liver oil capsules too…these are good for his coat and teeth too!! And everything is much cheaper than buying from the vets.

S.A. 47 Is an exellent all round vitamin and mineral addative, but dont bother with ANY at all if you have your dog on the corect complete food as they already contain them

I worked in a vets for 3 years and i raise bull dogs. Go to walmart in the pharmacy area and ask where the Cod Liver oil is. Don’t get the mint flavor just the regular kind. And when you feed him his food put a Table spoon of it on his food and mix it up. It will help the natural oil in his skin to come out. It will help his skin and help make his coat become shinny again. The Cod Liver oil only runs about 3 of 4 dollars. If they don’t have the liquid you can get the capsules. Its the same thing we sold at vet clinic but alot cheaper.
