Menstruating women may become deficiency, especially if they have heavy or prolonged periods and/or short cycles.
and sometimes Vitamin B6 or B12 deficiency and be the underlying cause of anemia.
Also strenuous exercise or heavy perspiration can deplete iron from your body (like your running).
Also if your a vegetarian you may be more likely to be deficient.
edit: there is no caution of amount in what I&#039;ve read, but you shouldn&#039;t take iron if you have an infection (because they feed on iron)</description>
