What Is The Substitute Supplement For The Term Elevit In Deutschland?
My friend highly recommended “Elevit” as a vitamin and mineral supplement for me because she said it contains higher level of folate than most other multivitamin supplements used in pregnancy. Other than that, it also helps prevent iron deficiency. Problem is, I couldn’t find any pharmacies or drugstores here in Deutschland who offers Elevit. Could anyone tell me which Apotheke offers Elevit in Germany, if not what is the substitute supplement for the term Elevit in Deutschland?

Hi, Elevit is commonly used in Australia, for Deutschland it’s called Folsäure (pronounced as fol-soy-re, which means Folic Acid). There are many multi-vitamins which contain Folsäure or Folic Acid but the name of the multivitamin you need to look for is Folsäure itself, and if you would look at the box of the product, you will see it is specifically for women aiming for pregnancy or “Schwänger werden” in Deutsch. There are some Folsäure 600 or Folsäure 800 but this is for women who are already pregnant because pregnant women require more Folsäure than other women who are still aiming to be pregnant, so you may watch out for this. It would be best if you just use a regular Folsäure. I’ve seen one like this in Rossmann in Deutschland, and it costs around 5 to 7 euro each box (around 40 tablets). You will also find this in any of the Apotheke in Deutschland. Goodluck, hope this helped you!

I can’t tell you the name of the supplement, but you can find it out pretty easily: ask your friend to tell you the manufacturer/pharmaceutical company (schering or whatever) or google it and find out. go to their website and/or call them and ask them your question. I did that with pills (microgynon in germany is levlen in the usa) and got the answer in 5 minutes. I hope you find your answer!
well i googled elevit and the first link popping up shows that the manufacturer is bayer. website is bayer.de. simply click on “kontakt” and fill out their form and ask them ur question. easy isn’t it? viel glueck!
