Tums For Calcium With A Multivitamin?

I’ve been taking 2 tums daily (the recommended dose for Tums as a calcium supplement) as well as a multivitamin that contains calcium. Is this okay?

    i wouldn’t do that…
get a real calcium supplement, and make sure it has magnesium (absorption issues)
please use a nutritionist, or research like hell

Yes, but be sure to drink lots of water to prevent kidney stones.
If you are taking medication check to be sure it’s compatible with calcium

Not really. Go to a gopod health food store and get a calcium supplement. Tums tends to do the opposite to our innerds after a few days. The real thing to do is a proper calcium supplement which the body can absorb.

No. Buy yourself a calcium supplement with at least 500mg of calcium, with magnesium to help absorb the calcium, and vitamin D. You can get 200 in a bottle for 7dollars or so.
