How to prevent osteoporosis with natural nutrition

Osteoporosis is one of degenerative diseases, it can happen to anyone without exception. This disease gives no symptom at the beginning, so we will not realize the mineral loss process from the skeleton until it becomes fragile and easy to break under normal use. Therefore, we should focus on osteoporosis prevention rather than depend on medical treatment (there is no cure for osteoporosis). In this article, I will explain the cause of osteoporosis and how to prevent this disease with natural nutrition.

Actually, osteoporosis is caused by our own body’s system. When our pH is imbalance, we need to have enough minerals (calcium and other alkaline minerals) into the system to restore the proper pH balance. As you know, the best source of minerals is the food we eat, but if we do not get enough minerals from foods, it will get minerals from our bones (where the minerals are reserved). If this condition maintains in a long period, we will suffer for osteoporosis as the result.

Before I explain further about osteoporosis, there is one think you should realize that osteoporosis cannot be prevented, but you do not have to worry because the onset of this condition can be delayed and the severity can be reduced. Here are several tips you can apply:

  1. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and nicotine which have been proven to make people more susceptible to osteoporosis.
  2. Do not eat too much protein. Although protein induces an increase in insulin-like growth factor which promotes bone building, but most high protein foods are acid-forming that will make your body start to excrete vitamin D and alkaline minerals (calcium and magnesium).
  3. Drink one and a half glasses of soy milk every day, most soy milk is enriched with calcium.
  4. Eat foods that are rich in calcium, magnesium and vitamin D like sardines, canned salmon, almonds, Brazil nuts, broccoli, Flax Seeds and dark-green leafy vegetables.
  5. Increase potassium intake because it can prevent urinary losses of calcium and magnesium. Potassium can be found in fruits and vegetables.
  6. Eat foods contain fatty acid which can support your bones health.
  7. Consider taking calcium, magnesium and vitamin D supplement if you are unable to get enough calcium, magnesium and vitamin D from your diet.
  8. Exercise regularly because it can increase your bone mineral density (BMD) and other metrics of bone quality.

As you might have known by now that osteoporosis will not bother your life if you make a preparation now (you have not suffered from this disease) by applying the tips I have told you before. So don’t worry and be happy. For more information about osteoporosis and how to reverse it?, find it at: http://www.allnaturalnutrition.info/osteoporosis.php
